Reign of Kings – Lost Chapter, Strict RP Rules.
Role-play Requirements
Role-play Requirements
1) All players must own a good quality microphone, any microphones that aren’t up to standard will mean a decline in your application to be whitelisted to Lost Chapter.
2) When naming your character, choose a name appropriate to a med-evil fantasy setting. Once you have named, and finalized your character. Ask an admin for approval.
3) You must stay in character at all times. If you are put into a situation where you need to break character, simply use In-game voice chat and say “OOC” If the player(s) you’re interacting with reply with “OOC” then its fine to break character. When typing In-game chat, we have a dedicated channel to speaking out character. Type /o to access this channel. If you speak in the wrong chat channel, you will be kicked and have to re-join the server again. If the player consistently breaks role-play in chat, you will be given a warning, if the player persists after a warning, a permanent ban will be issued.
4) Using abbreviated text is fine, but only when used in the OOC (Out of character) channel. If a player uses any gaming slang in the main channel, i.e. “lol, rofl, lmao”. You will be kicked and have to re-join the server.
5) Being offensive to other player’s in-game or using chat is not acceptable. If you have an issue with another player, do not begin to argue in chat, or curse at each other. Request for assistance from an Admin, and the issue will be resolved that way. Please ensure that you keep screenshots handy to aid Admins in their assistance with the issue. If you have recording software handy, try your best to catch rule breakers in the act, and provide this to an Admin, when an investigation is taking place. However it’s fine to insult each other, sticking role-play, just try to avoid using modern day insults.
6) Being racially abusive will earn you a permanent ban, if a player is caught doing this you will be removed from the server without notice.
7) Respect the role-play choice of other players, do not demean anyone for their decisions on what they like to role-play as in-game
8) When another player is talking in-game, using their microphone. Please allow the person to finish speaking before speaking yourself. Unless of course, you’re in a situation where a debate/argument is taking place.
9) You cannot request that a player reveal his/her name by pressing G. However if you manage to restrain and capture the person, they must tell you who they are. We understand that you can find a player’s name out by hitting them with a melee weapon or ranged, however if you obtain an identity by doing this, you are unable to acknowledge you have done so.
10) The OOC Channel (Out of Character) is supposed to be used sparely, do not use it as the main way of communicating, try role play as much as possible.
