King/Queen Duties and Responsibilities
When you take the Ancient Throne, you have to be aware of the responsibility that comes with it.
1)When a player takes the Ancient Throne, you must name the land something that fits in with the fantasy medieval setting.
2) You cannot set 20% tax until you have established yourself as King, to do this, you have to hold the Throne for an hour without losing it, or dying.
3)You cannot set 20% tax unless you have at least one wall preventing other players from accessing the Throne room, without the use of siege-engines
4)When a player first takes the Throne, you can set taxes between 0-5%.
5)Kings & Queens have to put effort into being relevant on the server. It is expected that royalty will host events, create an army, speak to the public, or any other ideas that the player can come up with.
6)As King or Queen you must always wear your crown, unless you are concerned for your safety, you can conceal your identity if you believe you are in danger.
7)Upon death NLR becomes active (New Life Rule) and the player must wait to retake the Throne for 1 hour before retaking it.
8)A King or Queen must appoint a “Hand of the King”, this player is able to take the Throne in the absence of the current ruler, or if the ruler should die and is under the NLR (New Life Rule). No other Guild member, or loyalist is able to take the Throne, only the person appointed. Unless a mutiny is taking place.
9)Whilst NLR (New Life Rule) is active, the Throne can be taken by another player if they desire to claim it, it is up to the King or Queen to protect it.
10)Once a King or Queen has held the Throne for up to 7 days, they are entitled to a title, awarded by Admins. However, if you should ever lose the Throne in a siege or war, then the title will be removed.
11)Being royalty does not exempt you from assassination attempts, it is your responsibility to manage your own security, and recruit the manpower needed to ensure this.
12)Once you have set the tax rate, if you should ever feel the need to change it, you must first announce in chat that you are altering it. You can only change tax rates twice per hour.
13)You can build inside the Throne Room as King or Queen, but you must always have access to it via gates, doors, etc.
14)You can build up to two walls, one on the bridge, and one in-front of the bridge, these can only be one block thick.
