War & Sieging
1) When the time for war has come, you will need to declare war, you can do this by typing the following command: /declarewar “Players name, or Guild name”. Once you have done this, you will be given a notification in chat, giving you a set time for yourself and the enemy to prepare for war. No siege engines are allowed to be used in this time frame, once the preparation timer has passed, the war begins.
2) Once war is declared, preparation time will begin, no siege engines can be used in this time, and any deaths during preparation time do not activate NLR (New Life Rule).
3) If you call on your Alliance’s or Banner men to aid your war effort, you must declare in chat whom exactly stands with you. The correct way to do this is as followed, example: “The Night Owls stand with The Golden Foxes! In this war!” If your Ally’s fail to inform the enemy that reinforcements have joined the battle, they will be banned permanently.
4) If you severely outnumber the opposition, you can choose to wipe them from the face of the earth, or give them the option to surrender and learn the mistakes of their ways.
NLR (New Life Rule) is active during war. Each player once eliminated during the battle, is effectively dead, until the war has ended. This adds tension, and makes strategy become more relevant and complex. Once you have been slain in battle, you cannot return for your loot bag, so ensure when going into battle you take what you need only.
5) All weapons are legal, Ranged weapons are legal, All armour sets are legal
6) If you choose to suicide run to sabotage siege engines, i.e. steal ammunition, or alter the trajectory and die, (NLR) New Life Rule is still in effect.
7) If you lose the battle, and the enemy successfully sieges you, you can request a surrender, if this is agreed upon, the enemy side can decide upon war reparations as payment for allowing you to live/keep your home/base. You must also agree to any terms put forward by the victors. If you believe that the terms are too harsh, then death is your only option.
8) There are no limits to siege engines used to attack or defend, if you have the resources and the men to craft multiple things, then you deserve to use them.
9) Do not interfere in a battle that has nothing to do with you. Do not pick a side based on dominance, or friendship. If you have no formal Alliance, or reason to fight in the war, walk on by, and act as though you never seen anything happen. If you wish to enter the battle, you must announce in-game chat that you stand with whichever side, within the preparation time limit.
Once one side has achieved victory, both leaders must meet and converse with each other to discuss terms. If leaders cannot be civil with each other, then simply destroy one another and be done with it.
10) No exploiting or cheating to get the advantage in battle.
11) If you’re eliminated in battle, you cannot trash-talk in chat, accept your defeat, and plan your next move.
12) Once the war has begun, and the preparation time has passed, no player involved in the war is allowed to build. You cannot replace or repair any damages that your base takes, until after the war timer has passed.
13) Once the war is ended, if both sides believe they needed more time to progress the battle. Both sides can rest for 10 minutes, and then war can be declared again. If both sides engage in war again, all men/women who died fighting the previous war, are allowed to engage in combat once again.
14) You cannot destroy a crest, under any circumstances, if you win a war, the enemy must allow access to two men from the opposition inside their home, and those people are able to loot whatever they like. Or they can choose to pay a set amount of resources by the victor.
15) If the losers refuse to pay reparations, or do not allow two men into the home/base. The victors have the right to destroy the entire base, and destroy the crests inside.
